Nice but i think little more flare at the muzzle would be awelsum

Heres some videos of the two .75s going off while we were proofing them (and having fun) Jumpshot has one of them maybe he can get a video of it when he shoots it

Freekforge,
I just bought a 1" Poplar dowel for the .75 gonne you sent me. Can't wait to get it out and proof it. I'll let you know how it goes. I was thinking to use a similar load to my Brown Bess of 80 Gr 2F. What have you used in the other .75s?
Cheers,
Chowmi

Use the handgun rule of thumb: always less than the bore in grains. In this case 2f is correct. Even if the gonne can handle the charge it'll only end up as muzzle flash -- trust me.

Yeah i wouldnt go more than the bore size. if i remember right 50 grains worked pretty good

i would use FF or even FFF powder and probably 30-50 grains but no more. the barrel is really too short to be getting much outa larger charges.

Thanks for the advice, I hadn't really thought about the barrel length. That all makes sense to me!

Cheers,
Chowmi

Yeah, most people find a little more than half the bore size in grains is pretty efficient and effective for pistol plinking. 3F might be a little TOO fine but s/be OK with lower charges.

I personally do, and suggest to, err on the side of caution.
