Some of you where talking about making horns on another thread so i thought I would post this one for an example. As some of you know I am on the road again so I don't get alot of shop time. Got home yesterday at noon and I have to leave again at 5 tonight so I thought I would make a little day horn. Well, first I got started on the tip and got a little carried away. Filed it right thru the wall. Then I had to cut a little off the base to even it up and I cracked it. By the time I had cut it off enough to get past the crack it was very short
So anyway to make a long story short it ended up being a flathorn. It could be used for a day horn or a primer.

6 in. overall
1 in. thick
wood pegged at the base and tip
Antler applied tip

Moral of the story is even a screwup can become a decent looking , usable horn.
