Here's a lobed horn I made and engraved a short time back and thought I'd show everyone!...I am showing this horn to help newbie horners, as well as people who have always wanted to try and make their own horn project!

Approximately 13" AOC....Left side carry

German American folk art have Distelfinks (Finches) with cross inside heart....Walnut pegs secure base in horn.

Detail of step petal carving and shallow twist carved spout. Ebony violin stopper.

Base plug wood is from 100 year old barn wood beam with a horn inlay that has a folk art star burst engraving.

THAT IS AWSOME!...I can't even scrimshaw my powder grain on my measurer..HOW DO YOU SCRIMSHAW like that??? What do you use? I NEED to learn this!

I'm very serious!...I use a number of pointed scriber's and Exacto knife blades.

I do not have a left side horn and if you feel a need to fix that, I will certainly wear it there for you...hint....nudge...wink, wink..... :rotf:
