Found a new Cabelas hawken for 50 bucks right before Christmas. Needless to say the 13 year old grandson was really suprised on Christmas day. Finally managed to get him out today and he had a blast :) , went through the loading procedure once then let him do it all by himself. After 30 shots it was all I could to get him to pack up the gear and head home for supper. :rotf:
At 25 yds he was putting them in a 3 inch circle, meanwhile back at the supper table we couldnt get him to stop talking about our adventure.... Only miscue was Grandpa forgot the camera :shake:

That is great captgary! It is alway good to get em while they are young. Of course does not hurt that he is a heck of a shooter too. :hatsoff:

Sounds like a truly great moment you had with your granndson. He'll most liekly remember it forever.

There is nothing better in life than time well spent with family kids, be they sons and daugthers or, I imagine, grandsons and granddaugthers.

It's such a great feeling to see my kids really excited about something that I am also excited about, espcially if I introduced them to it.

Maybe that's selfish, but I would not pass those experiences up for all the money in the world.

Gary, great job. You may have forgot the camera but you'll carry those pictures in your mind for a lifetime. You're a good Granddad. :hatsoff:

Congratulations Grandpa and nice job :hatsoff: . I know how you feel. My son is a member of the BP League at our local club. Last month he beat me by 3 pts. I was never more proud of him :) .

A lifetime of memories can be made...you'll remember the camera next time!

Keep us all informed of her progress :) . All the best, Dave

I know how you feel it is great making memories with the grandchildren. It is something they or you will ever forget. :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

way ta go grampa , I have a 21 month old grandson and another will be born in june and one of my biggest fears in life is I might not live lonf enough yo see them shoot my bp collection .then again it's a good goal to strive for and I've got my fingers crossed . I can't wait to take them to a rondevous , I've already made the 21 month old 2 or three pairs of moccasins and he loves to wear them .Know I need to make him a muzzel loader.
