Ok I know this has been covered but, there are two REAL bullets for 50 cal a 320 and a 250 gr. I would not expect the 320 to shoot in a 1-66 twist but the 250 should do ok right? I shoot ball-ets and rb out of my 54 cal 1-60 twist gun and they shoot nearly as well as the rb. However ball-ets are expensive and I thought the 250gr real would do as well as a 245 gr ball-et any thoughts?

I have had very good luck with the 320 and a fast twist. I think that as cheep as the lee moulds are what would it hurt to get one and try it. Ron

I tried the 300 and 380 grain REALs in my .54 GPR. Couldn't get either one to shoot right. I gave the molds to a friend with a .54 CVA Hawken (1 in 48 twist) and he does pretty good with them. I guess I'll stay with the PRB in my GPR.

I just got a double .45 cal. mold, one REAL and a RB cavity. I cast some yesterday and had some trouble, I have'nt had any trouble with my single cavity molds. Just having some break-in problems I hope. Did get some good slugs and RB but I had to use it as a single cavity if I tryed casting both cavitys one or the other would be bad. I also got a dual cavity for my .50 1-48 twist. I've mostly read good reports about REAL slugs.

I friend tried the 300g REAL bullets in his .54 great plains rifle. The accuracy was not too bad, but the round balls shot better, and are a proven performer on Whitetails.
