Another Set Trigger Question?

OK, after my last successfull set trigger swap (I shot the rifle yesterday and it worked flawlessly) I am wanting to put set triggers in a rifle I am building. The question is the lock that I have does not have a fly (it is an old Navy Arms HF 1803) Would a set trigger work if there is no fly?

Only the single phase type. The kind you have to set before cocking the cock, or hammer. This type holds the sear out of the way when tripped.
