A few months of practice, load development and sight filing paid off for me early November with this nice fallow buck taken at Caryonah Lodge in Tennessee.

The rifle is a Jaeger-styled .62 using a .600 diameter ball, .018 lubed ticking and 70 grs Swiss 1-1/2 Fg. The shot was just over 50 yards and straight on; the ball hit where aimed at the base of the throat and went nearly all the way through end-to-end. Didn't even lose an ounce of meat!

Needless to say, I'm hooked.
