For sale is an antique late 18th century pistol with a short barrel (4 ¾ in). I’m assuming the barrel was cut short at some point in it’s life.

I’m not sure if it’s exact date or maker (no markings anywhere). It’s definitely got a “been there” look, with several chips, dings and dents in the wood and replaced sideplate and screws. Possibly a Mediterranean pistol? Frizzen pan seems to have some sort of liner too. It will need a new trigger guard made for it too, but could be a cool antique pistol after some TLC.

The barrel is 4 3/4 in, overall length is 10 ⅜ in.

I’m happy to provide any additional pictures or information.
Asking $275 OBO

Buttplate (looks like sheet brass) and trigger guard inlet (probably also sheet brass originally):

Note on the stock: The deep graining appears to be staining, not actual grain. So probably was a lower quality wood that the gun maker tried to fancy up a bit.
