Hello ALL. Still thinning the herd.
I purchased this knife from a friend of a friend type situation. The owner, now in his early 40's had no information other than his grandfather carried this knife while hunting. The blade and guard are hand-forged. Still straight, sharp, and usable. There are no markings on the blade other than the letters MO and some numbers that were hand etched on by hand. My guess is this knife was made by a Missouri blacksmith sometime around the early 1900's. The blade is 7" long and OAL is 13". There are two small chips on the antler handle at the far end. Doesn't really show. The knife is solid and tight. The back of the sheath shows normal wear. What's nice is, the guard is small and oval shaped so a different, earlier period style sheath could be made. Cool looking knife and about the right size.
PRICE: $150.00 - shipped to the lower 48 States. Sorry, no trades. Feel free to ask any questions. And thanks for looking.
