Under New Zealand law . Legally you are allowed to keep it as long as you don't shoot it or commit a crime with it . These pistols were used in the Land Wars , I have seen one from Taranaki which had the grip nicely carved .Some of Von Tempsky's ranger carried these pistols . Lock it up and don't show any one , except me . 😁
