I went to a gun show today,, A guy is selling a Pedersoli double and all accessorys I didn't think to take pictures. But it's in good honest hunting shape & has 5 screw in chokes. He wants $1400 but will take less. I'm going back tomarrow so I could pick it up. Can any body tell me what it's worth. He gave me his low number P M me if interested.....Be Safe>>>>>>Wally

Those came in several grades. Depending upon the care and condition resulting,
it could be worth that. If it is engraved and one of their flintlocks or a good
conversion thereof, then have it inspected and if it gets a green light then
consider buying it.

Took the Whole FAM DAMILY to figure out how to get these pics up , It's the 10 ga. Pedersoli & acc. I bought for $650.00 ....Be Safe>>>>Wally

OP said he wanted $1400.00. That is a bit steep I think. I see he got it for less. Still a used gun though.
Any Pedersoli SxS shotgun in good to very good condition will bring $1000 or more, as evidenced by those that have sold on this site recently. Getting a new 12 or 20 gauge in your hands will take the better part of $1500 & right now new ones are pretty scarce. It's a different market than it was just a short while ago. Just look at the price of new C&B revolvers!! The OP was extremely fortunate to buy that 10 gauge for $650 as that is well below market price. Buys like that don't come around every day.

Perhaps so. but the original asking price was $1400.00. If I could get one new for a hundred dollars or even five hundred dollars I would probably go for the new gun with a warranty. I normally buy used when I can, but in the case of a double with all the possible issues, I'd rather have the option of having it fixed for free rather than screwing around with fixing it myself.

I'm not really a shotgunner, so would more likely be interested in one of their double rifles... so the possible issues list gets even longer with that. The price of those guns, depending upon model and caliber can get upwards of $2,000.00. Again, if I can get a new rifle for $600.00 more than I'd pay for a used shotgun, i'd take the new rifle over the used shotgun.

To each his own though.
