Is there a "huntable" population of Merriam turkeys to be found in SE Kansas?

For all I know, this may be an area of Easterns only. :idunno:

Thanks for your help, Skychief

Pretty sure there are no Merriams there. At least not naturally occuring. You should be encountering Easterns and maybe Rio Grandes.

There are Merriams in the Rockies and the black hills as well as in Nebraska hill country south east of the black hills. That I know for sure.

These days when Burmese Pythons are taking over the everglades, anything is possible. :haha:

Easterns, I will be there trying to arrow one and smoke a second right after easter!

Good luck!
