I am looking for plans, patterns, or photos of matchlock bandoliers..you know, the type with the wooden bottles hanging from them. Also, is there a source out there for the wooden bottles, or have some of you turned them yourselves on a lathe?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Do a web search under "Bandolier, Apostles" and you'll get lots of hits.

(Search on just "bandolier" and you'll get far more hits on Tuskin Raiders and Chewbacca from Star Wars than anything to do with muzzleloading. :haha: )

Be warned that just because it's on the Internet doesn't make it authentic. I found some museum sites but no images of "complete" gear showing the bottles as worn.

Some sites look good, but the images are protected.

Please stop by our links section, there are many more suppliers in the pre-flintlock links...

Thought I saw Chuck Thom wearing one of these about 10 years back at a shoot near Marshfield.
