WANTED Anybody got a used cheap AWI Regimental coat.....the good guys one.

I am looking for a cheap used AWI regimental coat. Maybe one of the Pakistan imports.

I wear about a 46L in a suit or coat so around that size. A touch bigger is probably ok?

I'm looking for one worn by the good guys...AKA the Colonials.

I purchased mine on fleabay from Fort Laramie Frontier Trading Post
They do business as FLFTP. It is wool and made over seas but it is a reasonable copy

They offer a few different ones depending on the unit you are looking to be as there was no standard uniform with different units choosing different colors. Most were navy blue but there were other colors of light blue, green etc. and then they had different colors of lapels / facings. 2nd NY was navy blue with white facings.

I was actually looking at those. $190 or so? I would like to find a use one like that for less. Just something for me to shoot in....no reenacting.

How short? I'm about 6'1" with long arms though.

Maybe a half inch or so. Enough to be slightly annoying but not terrible. I’m also 6’1” and long arms. If I was ordering again I would consider going up one size. It fits snug in the shoulders and chest, but not excessively so.

Do you wear it for reenacting with full uniform? IE waistcoat? Sleeved or not?

I'm leaning towards ordering a 48 at this point.

I haven’t worn it to an event yet, but the plan is to wear it with a waistcoat and long sleeved shirt. I’ve tried it on with all that stuff underneath and that’s when it was a little short. It’s a civilian coat though, not a military one.
