Anyone have any pets loads for the fixed choke models. Mine is the older, lighter version. Don't want to mess with shotcups, probably start with Skychief's load.Any help appreciated Thanks.

This is somewhat dependent on the range in which you will shoot your turkey. What are your choke(s)? I find that my "standard" upland load patterns great when I change the shot size to #5. I always put 7 BB's on top of the #5 shot. Just a ritual with no real need - but I often find one of the BBs in the turkey. I am loading a square 1 1/8-ounce load, hard card over powder, olive oil soaked 1/2 in. fiber was, shot and two over-shot thin cards. In the left barrel the pattern is good on turkey to 35-yards. The right barrel shortens the distance to about 28-yards. Every one of my Pedersoli shotguns is slightly different with loads, so you really have to experiment and pattern yours.

Yes, I taken turkey with a Pedersoli 12ga. SxS it was a Cabela's marked gun. I bought it in the late 80s.
It was the model with the inter-changeable chokes. With the fulls in it was a bear to load trying to get the wads past those chokes was tough. Fine if you're turkey hunting and have plenty of time to load, not so good for rabbits when your loading on the fly.

Never saw turkey when hunting them. But my backyard was filled when I came home. As for the shotty, I never figured out a good load for mine. Especially because of the choked bores. For a 12 ga. even 14 ga. wads would not pass the choke. I had one honed out to cylinder bore and it shot just fine with the 14 ga. wads. But, I never liked that gun and was happy to trade it away.
