These small guns are smaller (the 1849 and 62s) but they want more for them any one know of a brand thats cheaper just to play with?? Thanks Fred :hatsoff:

The only company I know of that's making them is Uberti. The least expensive one I've found is S&S Firearms for $254 (see page 63 of their 2008 catalog, item RFT315C). That price is probably out of date, however, due to the fall of the US dollar.

Check gun shows and jump quick! I saw one at the same gun show 2 times for 200 and said next time! I see it I will buy it....well someone bet me to it! It appeared unused and I still regret not jumping on it

Thank ya both maybe I'll find one , till then someone droped off a Wells Fargo kit for me to play with laying here in bed..didn't even know they made these. Fred :hatsoff:

Boy! A brand new toy to play with.

Now all you have to do is to figure out how to sand and file that kit in your bed without leaving a pile of metal chips and sanding dust.

I understand that steel and brass filings can be somewhat upsetting to your rear side if they are slept on. :rotf:

Yep - then the wife gets upset cause you get gun oil on the sheets. That's worse than cleaning one on the kitchen counter, using her favorite pots, while she is shopping. There is a slight learning curve to this sport.

I called around and cant find anything, no 4" 49s, no 62 navy just all sold out..when Dixie doesnt even have them :shake: what a world. I was told Aug all the gun makers in ITL go on vacation, they shut the plants down ect, so I got something to lay with for free anyway  Fred ( I'll watch my butt RIGHT NOW Im wondering if my Walker with REALs will stop this hog that rubs up on VW every mornning 3 days in a row since I been home,Blaine took the yard stick out and hee/she is 42" high and 47" long maybe 350 to 400 lbs maybe this ? Hair ? is real thiccccccccccccccccck! like a nail. Cant get a shot between my feet and not hit the car. :shake: I'll work it out. Fred :hatsoff:

You might give Buffalo Arms Co. a try. They are very good people to deal with. I lucked out and picked up a very slightly used one at Cabella's in Boise last year for $99. They are a pleasure to shoot and mine is very accurate. It is my new mountain grouse gun :)
