Celebration of 150th anniversary of surrender at Appomattox starts Apr.8,2015. Who is going? Wish I could be there. My son will be there reenacting.

This will be a big event,I am good friends with one of the organizers for Birneys division our home organization,Been doing war between the states re- enacting going on 20 years.Been to a bunch of events over the years the large events are busy and very involved a lotta work at a company level but a bunch of fun.If you ever get to the eastern theater look us up we will put you in a Yankee uniform give you a Springfield 58cal. musket and drill,drill, drill ya in the school of the infantry.

Thanks.... BUT..... If I ever join up again it will be with Graham's Battery,1st Rockbridge Artillery, CSA. NSSA. (my sons unit). As you know NSSA is made up of shooters. However my sons unit is helping out re-enacting in the program this year. Look them up, I know they would be glad to meet a PA yankee. Have a nice trip to DIXIE.
