Archives & muzzle coning

Some time ago there was a discussion about coning the muzzle. I haven't been able to find this topic via SEARCH (probably not useing it right). Can someone point me to catagory/date(s) about muzzle coning? I'd be most grateful :master:

well, I can't get the "link thing" to work so I'll just say:


There are actually quite a few posts on the subject.

Some tips on using the SEARCH engine.

enter the KEYWORD word/words in quotes, like "coning".

The thing is set up to look only at the current day for reasons beyond my understanding, so the first thing I do is to remove BOTH the "1" and the word DAY from the NEWER THAN box leaving them blank.

The boxes below that starts with something like OLDER THAN, and I usually put in 1 and WEEK. That way I don't get stuff that has been posted in the last week.

At the bottom of the page, poke the SUBMIT button.

Thanks for the feedback. After reviewing the posts I borrowed a coning tool and coned the barrel on my .45c flinter. Tomorrow I'll shoot some paper to see if I detect any difference in group size and/or POI. Thanks again
