Probably the best way to get an idea on how to make one, is to get you a copy of RECREATING THE 18TH CENTURY POWDER HORN, by Scott Sibley. Track of the wolf sells them and many guys and gals are usingb them for a primer on horn making. BOOK OF BUCKSKINNING II, also has an excellent chapter on making powder horns. That should get you started!

Seems to me that there was one on scrimshawing a horn about a year ago. I did a search and couldn't find it. Maybe someone has it bookmarked.
