I think I asked this back in 2013 but cannot remember the answer.

I have some 100 to 300 pounds of wheel weights. (I can't member that either!). Are those OK to cast ML bullets and balls from?

From what I've been reading the balls would be suitable for a smoothbore, harder to load in rifles and pistols, and not suitable for revolvers due to increased stress on the loading lever. This is compared to pure lead.

Well, if that was all I had available I sure would give it a try.
About the only trouble I can see is it probably will be harder on the patch material when loaded.

Yes you can for RBs in rifles. You may have to use a slightly thinner patch but you will see when you load.

They are not a good choice for revolvers or bullets though. If you have stick on wheel weights, they are allot softer and would work much better.

You could possible swap them with someone that casts for modern guns. They often get soft lead and desire the harder WWs.

Two old guys sitting on a porch, one says
'Do you remember the good old days?"
The other answers
'No,do you?'
The first says
'Do I what?'
That joke becomes less funny each spring, but I know that in a few years it will be the first time I ever heard it again. :haha:
