Here we go. It's 1978 and I found this womans purse in a dumpster, the badger hide, on a stretcher, was in the same dumpster. When I turned the purse inside-out, a $20 bill fell out and I thought...Wheee!!
Sewed the badger to the inside-out purse with artifical sinue and instant shooters pouch. Was given the deerhide and sewed the strap outta 3 pieces.
Picked up a pair of horns at a ranch. Built a foot powered bow lathe and turned the plugs, cut some brass rod and made nails and scrimshawed my handle on the powderhorn, candleblack and buffalo fat in the etching. Cut the tip off the other horn and made the measure...tapered octagon and pretty rings and like that. 70 grains 3f. Keep your powder dry folks. I'm still shooting from my third can. Dupont works better than what I made myself from bat urine and sulpher and red willow charcoal....I picked up the sulpher at the abandoned plant just outside of Worland WY.
