I am looking for a maker of bullet bag for round ball. I have done many searches here to try to find this person who made me a ball bag several years ago. I have found out it was not Cuttfingers. This ball bag was well made and the stopper was made of bone or antler that was turned. I am still using the bag and am very pleased with it. Want another bag . Hoping someone can help me find this person who made a great product. Thanks for any help !! Mudd Turtle

Let's see, a leather bag with an antler stopper? Only one guy could have made that. His name will come to me in a moment........

I have one of his bags too. works great but like Jack I am at a loss on the name :idunno: . He is a member of this forum an maybe will see this post. If I think of it I will repost

No and why do so?

Sounds like a good way to lose your ball bag or it's contents if it comes open.

I have a nice leather ball bag from a fellow forum member, while it's very nice I never carry it. The more stuff you fumble with and jam in a bag or hang on the belt the more cumbersome things become.

I have a small brain tan poke I made that carries five extra .62 caliber balls. This little deal lives happily in the shooting bag. Pack light, pack only what you need and move on! :hatsoff:

Check the classifieds, maybe it was Horner?

Makes sense. I seem to recall Ned Roberts (author) mentioning the ball pouch/bag being carried separately but also that some carried the balls/bullets in their shooting bag. It does seems like another thing to snag on a branch!

Loose balls and patches in the inside pocket of my shooting bag has been an awesome way to go. I can put way more in there than I could shoot in one trip. I keep them in a little deerskin patch when not doing interpreting, shooting, or hunting, and the patches in an old cap tin so they don't dry out

If I ship cutfingers some antlers for a stopper, would one his bags come close enough to what you want?

Leroy has been more than nice to me and I can help him out, if it will get you what you wish.
