I made a few of these a while ago and getting bored, made this one today. It has a solid 3/8 "brass rod with maple end piece. On this one I drilled and tapped a 8 X 32 hole so that, if you wanted, you could screw in a jag to accommodate a larger ball. I will ship this to you for $18.50. (Jag is for illustration and not in the sale). I prefer PP F & F or MO, Check or Cash.

One of those would be the cats meow with a turned antler knob, If that could be done I would buy one.

I am sure it would be the cat's. I am not really a love of those critters, but even though, I don't think an antler knob is historically correct. No evidence contrary, but I would rather make something that there is proof than speculate.

simon, no one said about historically correct, just think one would like nice. Guess I will make one.

If you make another, I'd like one too.

The design looks practical and the historic precedent makes it even more attractive.
(Dreaming a bit, both my rifle and pistol have curly maple stocks, so a similar palm piece would be ideal - but hardly necessary.)

Thanks.
