4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
6 tsp baking powder
Just enough water to make ingredients stick together
Melt 1/4-1/2 inch lard in pan, cook over medium heat, brown both sides
Very good with stew, or eaten hot with your choice of spread.
 
and double the baking powder in the recipe then make doughnuts!
actually I have made fried bread (bannock) some, it is good w/stew.
