So I have a barrel that needs to be cut down at the breach due to excessive corrosion. Who is the go to for cutting down and re-breaching and re-installing powder drum?
Thanks
Thanks
Have you run a borescope down the bore to confirm the ‘excessive corrosion’ is just in the breech area of the bore? I’ve found most barrels with corrosion in the breech area typically had corrosion through most of the bore.So I have a barrel that needs to be cut down at the breach due to excessive corrosion. My concern is on the exterior of the barrel. Inside is ok.Have you run a borescope down the bore to confirm the ‘excessive corrosion’ is just in the breech area of the bore? I’ve found most barrels with corrosion in the breech area typically had corrosion through most of the bore.
Great guy!!I'll third Bobby Hoyt, but yea he is swamped. A good fellow not far from Bobby is Jim Cullers who owns Ft Chambers Muzzle Loading Shop. Jim is a retired tool & die maker from the Letterkenny Army Depot and what you need done is his wheelhouse. A phone call is the best contact. No affiliation, just a happy customer.
Thanks,
