I was admiring the Early American Jaeger rifle in the Dixie
catalog this evening,& I kinda' like that style. But it says
in the specs., that it has a 1-24" twist barrel. From my
experience, that seems to be pretty quick twist for patched
round ball doesn't it ? ::

The twist is to fast for a PRB. I would give them a call and see if it's a misprint or something. If it's 1-24, trust me, it won't shoot a PBR well.

Slowpokes right. Only way you might get it to shoot rd balls with that fast a twist is with real low charges of powder. Course, there are always exceptions to every rule.
