I have an unfired T/C penn. carbine (21") flinter can the bbl be swapped for the penn.rifle (31")

I believe they can. But to be 100% sure, why not call Fox Ridge Outfitters, The T/C Custom Shop, as they sell these barrels. 1-800-243-4570.

Yep; they interchange. I have both of those barrels that I use on the same stock. Some say this model is a great shooter but my carbine barrel is about worthless beyond 60 yards with a roundball and I have spent a lot of time trying to get it to shoot well. My 31" barrel is a good shooter most of the time but it throws fliers every once in a while and I don't have a clue why. I like the rifle and keep on tinkering with it until I get it right.

i think that barrel is 15/16 across the flats, so you could put the other pennsylvania hunter barrel on it, or a flintlock barrel from a t/c hawken, or a 15/16 replacement barrel from green mountain. there might be a different key placement, though, so im not absolutely sure about the hawken or the green mountain barrel . . .
