The Amazon seller with the highest price for anything gets listed first, when you search for something.

People who don't care or are naive will automatically buy the first item that comes up.

I use Amazon a lot and have not seen that as a standard. While the first price listed may be higher, it many times is eligible for free shipping. If you look at those lower prices, they are adding an additional shipping charge that when combined with this product cost shown is usually (though not always) higher than that first items listed that include shipping.

What I have found it that you have to look through ALL the offers to find the lowest TOTAL cost and they are in no particular order other than Amazon generally lists the items direct-shipped by them at the top.

The adds are generated by amazon......Claude has no control over the prices.....Amazon's adds are controlled by their algorithm....

Like someone said...."there are rip-offs everywhere"......I use to track weekly sale prices of a local "big box" store( over a long period of time).....The bigger the sale...The more they increased the prices....Usually when something is 10% or 20% or 30% off....you actually end up paying more than when it's not on sale.....it's an old marketing trick.

I do admire a man that values a dollar though. :hatsoff:

I'm doing all my Amazon ordering through the Muzzleloading Forum here on out. Just click the link here, and the Forum gets a small percentage of whatever you end up buying on that Amazon session. I believe it's called "associated links."
