SOLD BEAUTIFUL Leonard Day/Jack Garner Swivel Gun

WTS: Beautiful percussion swivel barrel built by Jack Garner on a Leonard Day action. It is .62/20 gauge. Appears to have never been fired. Wood is a gorgeous tiger stripe Maple. Iron fittings, lock plates and tang are case colored. Barrels left in white. As you know, Mr. Day has retired and his son is taking over. Mr. Garner is well known in the contemporary muzzleloader industry. A really stunning piece of the gunsmith's art. Always glad to share more information and photos. Just heard from a gentleman who works with Jack Garner who says that Garner has never made swivel breach guns. So it appears that a very skilled gunsmith used a repurposed Garner barrel in his build.

There was a writeup by Mike Nesbit about him doing just that in either Muzzle Blasts or Muzzleloader magazine 15 years or so ago.
He seemed to do very good work, and has been known to do several types of guns, including flint pistols and matchlocks.

I have had two numbered swivel guns by Day. Both verified. When I purchased this one, all outward indications were that Garner built it on a Day action. As this thread shows, I now know that is not true. I would edit the whole listing, but that seems to not be an option. Strange.
