Original Percussion English Fowling Piece. Made by Haywood of Chester, England, a high quality maker of English arms. 33" Damascus barrel in 12ga, clean great condition bore. Approx 14" LOP and weighs a handy 6lbs 12oz. Features very nicely engraved mountings throughout and extremely nice fit and finish with no wood shrinkage from age. Checkering and walnut stock condition is quite good. Lock seems to function fine.
Now for the sad part. I bought this thing a few years ago and it arrived with the forearm broken because it was basically loose in the box. FedEx rejected the claim and I ate the whole thing. I packed it up and planned to have it repaired eventually but it just hasn't happened. All pieces are present and the breaks are pretty clean, I think a little artistic application of Acraglass and a little reinforcement would bring this beautiful piece back to life. It's in such amazing condition otherwise that it's an excellent candidate for repair. Hopefully someone here can resurrect it. It will ship well packed and completely stabilized.
