ya can make some quick simple spring clamps by pulling a couple springs out of an old mattress. Compress the spring down n secure it then cut it from top to bottom in a straight line. You can use a dremel or die grinder or even a torch if yer real good. Clean the ends up a bit where ya cut the springs n yer about done. The clamps will look like the letter"C" from the side n be in several different diameters. Ya may need to twist them na bit so the ends line up but its a piece of cake. They work like a third hand for light duty stuff like placeing an inlay n holding it in place so ya can step away n see just how it looks from a distance. They are light, cheap n don't take up much room, something we all like YMHS Birdman

Butcher I'm glad to help, let me know how they turn out n if ya find them handy for small stuff. I know I do for a lot of smaller craft stuff I'm into. let yer imagination run wild with their uses. take care friend YMHS Birdman
