Anyone own one ? I've always thought they were kind of interesting. Are they historically accurate? Thanks

Yes I have a pair of them they have when new poor quality locks and ignition can be poor I customize them case harden the locks parts redone the stock finish they now give me trouble free shooting pigeon over new sown barley drillings.

I've had one for years. The locks on mine are pretty good.

I used to shoot doubles trap with it. A real challenge since they are cylinder bore. Would make a nice upland game gun.

One of my friends used to have one. Was a pretty decent gun, except he was plagued with misfires in the bottom barrel. The flash channel is really long. Even reamed out the channel some.
We tried everything, starting with a very thorough cleaning.
Finally had to put a musket cap nipple in the bottom barrel to eliminate the misfires.
Sometimes the barrel band would come loose and slide toward the muzzle.
