best place to get single shot pistol barrels?

Anyone had experience having a new barrel put on their single shot? Know of a source for barrel and nipple fitting? Thanks ahead for any input.

Unless your speaking of one of the major manufacturing companies pistols there are no "drop in" barrels made for pistols.
I'm pretty sure Lyman, Pedersoli and Traditions will sell a replacement barrel but I may be wrong.

As for unfitted pistol barrels I've used one made by Rayl. Excellent workmanship and quality but, as I say, these barrels are not drop in parts.
They must be breeched and fitted to each stock.

 

Thanks for response. There probably is not much market out there for drop in barrels. a person probably would have as much invested as having a second gun and one of the barrels would be laying around the garage somewhere. the best option for me is to save my pennies and get a second gun.

You didn't mention what the problem is with your pistols barrel.

We might be able to help you if we knew what the problem was.

 

No problem with barrel at all. The Trapper shoots great. Just wanting a longer barrel and 54 cal.but actually have pretty well got myself talked out of the longer barrell. Thinking of picking up a Lyman .54.
Wish Traditions made a 54 cal as I really like the double set triggers in the Trapper.
