I just ordered a new Lyman GPR .54 Perc. today.
Best price I could find was at www.midsouthshooterssupply.com at $370.**.
$380 and change shipped. Plains Pistols are $189.**. I was going to order from DNR Sports, but they went way up on their prices for all the Lymans they sell.
Just thought I would post this in case any pards out there are considering buying a Lyman soon. I don't know if everyone will be going up on Lymans because of the economy, H*LL they find a reason to raise the price on everything else.

I wonder how long before Midsouth raise their prices. I've always bought from DNR Sports, but you have to go with the best price. DNR are still a lot cheaper than places like Dixie and Cabela's. Lyman prices didn't go up like the Pedersolis. As far as I'm concerned, Lyman is still the best value for a production gun  .

Yep, got mine from them a couple of months back at that same price. Good shooting with your new rig.

In GE you can get a Lyman/Investarms for € 336,-/ $ 403,-. I got mine for € 285,-/$ 342,- because the trader hadn't up dated the price in his catalog and so you get the price as it is shown. Bad luck for him, but good luck for me.

Good move. Got my .54 GPR from Mid-South a few months back. Mighty fine shootin' iron. Rock steady offhand. Had a .50 T/C Hawken many years ago but sold it. GPR is gettin' me started back in the game. Hope you enjoy it long and well.

Kirrmeister,
I enjoy your post. I wish that we could get a Lyman barrel here in the states in .45. I like the smaller barrel for squirrels and such. Thanks to all the pards for the replys. I have some custom fowlers and hawkens, but you can't beat the Lymans and T/C for production rifles.
Alamosa.

My wholesales prices are up, I can't imagine Midsouth holding on to long with below dealer wholesale prices.
I figure once the old stock is gone we'll all see prices creep upward.

I don't think anybody beats the price from Natchez on the Lyman GPR.

Regards, sse

I was on gun broker this mourning there was a 54 cal lyman GPR it went for 255.00 plus postage. The seller says it is new unfired and that he won it in a raffel. It has the long twist for rb. If you keep an eye out and be careful I think that is the way to go.
