I have a Lyman Trade Rifle that I need a sling for. What is the best made sling out there.

Thanks in advance.

I think it's one of the woven one's the guys make and sell on here periodicaally -- they're really fantastic, especially for such a gun.

If your not real interested in PC and/or want real world function just get a set like this and use a modern sling; http://www.midwayusa.com/product/7...ng-swivel-studs-1-locking-swivels-steel-black

This in conjunction with Quick Release swivels is great for in field carry.
I have these on a Cabelas Hawken,, that I do use at Rendezvous, and nobody in 10yrs has made a comment about the stud in the butt or the front pipe.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I do not want to drill into my stock.
That would have worked out perfect if I wasn't so picky.

Yeah, I guess I ain't so fussy.
I wouldn't do it on a custom or some styles of factory guns , but the Renegades, Trade Rifles an such are more of a hunting tool for me and set up as such,

I have an all leather one, like the on Spikebuck's reply. It is made by The Leatherman. It works great on my GPR.
