Don't quote me on this, but bigfoot (bigfeet?) is/are one of the most common critters in the woods world wide. They range from the Himalayas to the Louisiana bayous and South & central America. There are so many expeditions & sightings of the the population must be staggeringly high.
Only photo of one I've found so far; obviously quite docile critters.

I always thought they'd make a great rug... but i bet the meat would be tough...
side hill wampus up nawrth here....ive seen them ice skate,ing on the ice in winter on the ice over the ledges on the interstates
