Bought an 11 stitch per inch overstitch wheel awhile back so I decided to use it on this bag...Even at this size it took FOREVER!!

Hand sewn at 11 stitches per inch with waxed linen thread by me, this little bag measures in at 5 3/4" wide by 6" tall with a strap that adjusts from 50" to 60" by means of a small belt and buckle; bag is sewn with a welt to increase the strength and durability; a small pocket is included on the back of the bag.

I bet!
Thanks for putting it up!

That is a nice looking bag tho. And well made by the looks of it too.

Nice work. That is some good looking leather and I like the color. That is also a dandy brass buckle that you chose.

Nice job on both pouches David! Hand stitching takes a little getting use to but the results are well worth it.Well done.

I find small stitches more appealing (something I'm working on). To me, they show a finer level of finishing (something I'm working on).

Have you ever seen a shooting bag sewn by Ed Wilde? The tiniest stitches I've ever seen.

That is a fine looking bag you have there. (and there is now a run on Jo-anns across the country to find that brass buckle! :rotf: )

Very nice work I like the color and the deign the small size is also very appealing I think most of us could do quite well with smaller bags and thin out all the "stuff" that really is not needed and a bag that size would be about right I think, I have one 7"x8" I use the most and as I keep culling the non essentials it seems bigger and bigger.

I need to make a run on Joanns to get buckles myself...if there's any left! :rotf:

I like the small stitches too. The count I used here was the smallest I've done...usually I use 7 per inch, but am looking for a 9 per inch wheel.

Personally I am still working on my stitching as well...if it doesn't look like it was done with a machine it isn't perfect yet.

I have found that the folks that do 18th century reenacting want the really small bags, while the 19th century reenactors and later want the bigger bags. I had a REALLY big bag that I thought I just HAD to stuff fullof all kinds of "stuff". I sold that one and use a small bag kinda like this one now.

mine are getting smaller, too ... either i'm carrying less stuff, or i'm cramming it in tighter.

nice looking bag!
