I just bought 25# of goex 5# of 2f and 20 # of 3f. The price is right! $7.50 a pound. This works out to $9.14 a pound shiping, has-mat fee and all! He only ships 25#.

Thanks for the info...will keep it in mind. New York is so paranoid we're lucky we can get Pyrodex around here. Not much good in my flintlock. :RO:  :shocking:

You got that. The problem isn't buying and selling. The state has requirements of storing the stuff that costs a business thousands and thousands of dollars to comply; and some don't have the space required to install the "bunker". You'd think it was Plutonium!

I have been buying it from www.powderinc.com You can get it in 5 or 10 pound lots but it costs a bit more per pound.

I'm told that this whole black powder fiasco (storage, shipping, selling, etc.) is the result of some kid from Pendleton, just down the road from me, who blew up a building in Oklahoma City. Thanks, Timmy. :curse:

Yeah. But he used fertilizer and diesel oil. Them I can still buy easy. My wife's car and my sailboat engine run on diesel.

When was the last time you heard of anyone actually using blackpowder for an explosive?

Now, now, don't let logic get involved. This is New York and our legislature just can't have logic or common sense. Iwork for the state, you have no idea how f*&@ed up this place is until you work for it. If logic was involved why would hardly have gun control to keep us safe. :curse:
Sorry, I was just about to get out my soapbox. I'll go and clean my guns now and think calming thoughts.
