I like the Queen Anne! Too bad the web page gives so little info, not even the caliber. I would like to know that, if it is riffled and an approximate year it is styled after. I would also like to hear from anyone who has built any of their pistols.

Kevin (the son) is a good guy - he does great work and therefor is busy - you may have a wait if what you want is not in stock, but what else is new. As you'll see if you explore his site, he has his own casting equipment. Apparently he takes on jobs where others fear to tread.

The Queen Anne is smoothbore, .592 bore (takes a slightly larger ball of course). The style is pretty much generic for the time of Queen Anne until the end, around 1780. (some were built later)

If you like Queen Annes and you don't already own it, buy a copy of John Burgoyne's "The Queen Anne Pistol".

Forgot to add - Kevin (unless things have changed) bores the hemi-spherical cavity for the ball in the 'frame' casting, which is not a trivial operation if you don't have machine tools. Rifleshoppe (the only other source of a Queen Anne kit I know of) doesn't.

I recommend it - go for it!

I have a set of castings for their dragoon pistol that I'm putting in a different project. Rifle shop castings can not come near the quality that Kevin gives. Top notch quality. Only took about two or three weeks to get all the parts. He'll tell you that all you need to fo to finish the lock is to buff it with a fine wire wheel. He's wasn't lying! All lines and lettering was sharp. Looks great. Now I just need the time to put in a stock!

Thx for the testimonial wallgunner. I am starting to get a warm feeling about B and son. What is the date on that FARMER lock? There are a couple of graceful heavy dragoons on display at Ticonderoga that caught my eye. One is a FARMER 1744.

Would you care to share more details regarding your project?
