bladders

I have heard about the use of deer or buffalo bladders for storage, does anyone know how they were prepared were they just dried or tanned or how were they prepared for use and what all were they usd for.

Blow them up like a balloon and tie off, let dry. Great for dry stuff and very tough. You can wax it afterwords. My kids and wife would not partake of any thing I stored in them and I havn't made anysine the year after I got marrierd.
