I was rooting thru the garage yesterday and came across an old catch-all box of ML stuff. Considering how prices have gone lately I thought I post some pictures. I guess you'll either smile or cry.
Love to see it.Gee maybe I should take a picture of my sperm whale oil bought in 1965 for four dollars, or some goex FFFF bought for four dollars a lb.
They gonna hav to change that website to hav scientific notation if things keep going the way they are.I love these old pics & prices! The old "ah, if only!" feeling coupled with memories.

I once figured out that the first cap & ball revolver I bought used for $50 actually cost me a lower multiple of my hourly pay than the inflation-adjusted equivalent would cost me today!
That was an eye opener...
Still wish I'd bought that house I was renting then, though.
we are not HOARDERS we are KEEPERS OF STUFF!!! that we thought that we needed!!Gee maybe I should take a picture of my sperm whale oil bought in 1965 for four dollars, or some goex FFFF bought for four dollars a lb.
Yeah, when I was a kid the local hardware store still sold dynamite too.GADD'S! I actually remember seeing those cans at the local sporting goods shelf,, and walking past.
It was easy to walk past, cause all I had to do was go to the counter and ask for real bp.
At that time you could still by dynamite at the hardware store with a permit from the DNR,,
Never used Pyrodex. When I started l was paying $2.50 for a pound of black powder. I distinctly remember paying $20 for 1000 RWS musket caps. Here's a pic of my full container of sperm whale oil. I can't remember what I paid for it.
