Never knew much about firearms, let alone black powder rifles/revolvers. My parents came into some decent land, and invited me to give them a whirl. Naturally I had a blast, and possibly got too eager with purchasing my own black powder revolvers. When the weather warms up I’ll definitely be out there again. Such a fun hobby!

Howdy from Nashville. Just bought an 1861 Navy last week. Plenty of black powder shooting groups in central Tennessee, but not a lot of cap and ball shooting that I've seen. Hopefully that picks up in the area.

Buy as much land as you can, they're not making any more of it.

Howdy from Huntsville, Alabama! If you are interested in shooting black powder firearms from the era of the American Civil War, check out the North-South Skirmish Association! You are in the Deep South Region. Here is the Deep South Region website:

The first skirmish of the year is in 2 weeks at Brierfield Ironworks State Park, just south of Birmingham, Alabama.
