Came across the Blue Grouse website today. I see they offer underhammer kits at a very resonable price. Says that they are offered "in white". What does this entail to complete a kit? I called but got no answer. An underhammer in .36 seems like it would suit my needs in a small bore. Are these the same underhammers that Deer Creek is no longer offering? Thanks in advance.

These are one in the same and the one i got is a .45 and it is quite useable on small game and large game aswell. i cannot say enough about bruces customer service and if you plan on calling himi it needs to be around 6o'clock pacific time. my rifle has embarrased a many a inliner and rifle shoot alike. this thing is more accurate than i could ever be. hope this helps you out.

Blue Grouse gets his kits from Deer Creek. I recently built 1.5 kits. I built a .50 cal. 26" barrel and a later got a second barrel in .45, 32" from Deer Creek. FW reports that Deer Creek is in transition with how they obtain barrels. He posted that they will not have kits available until around Spring. :(

Bruce the owner of Blue Grouse has parts at this time and is a wealth of information. I whole heartedly endorse both Deer Creek and Bruce.

If you want to see the Underhammer I built, search under my name as I posted the project and pictures as I built it. There are a couple of us here that have the Underhammer. My only complaint is I have to wait until spring to get another.

Thanks for the replies. I'll wait a few months and see if they are availible then.

If the quality is there, 240 bucks for one in the white sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

The gun is a good deal. The only problem I've had was with the trigger and hammer being brittle due to overheating. I've since fixed that after going through 4 sets. I will say DC had no questions and always sent me a new part. Free!

If i was you guys i would definatley give bruce a call hehas a pretty good stock pile himself, which are all deer creek. he may have what you are looking for.
