I have exhausted my search sites and interlibrary loan sources, I think, because I am unable to clearly identify what I seek within each one's search parameters.

I seek a book with graphics on the muzzleloading percussion cap lock sporting rifles made by Alexander Henry, the Scottish gunmaker. It would be nice were it comparable with W. Keith Neal and Donald Black's The Mantons: Gunmakers.

Naphtali, is you ever find one PLEASE let me know. Alexander Henry is one of my favorite, if not THE favorite gunmaker(s).

I've got a .450 BPE percussion double, but that's a Blackpowder cartridge rifle and belongs somewhere else,

I recently acquired a 12 bore (proofed at 13)Alex Henry percussion double muzzleloader. It's the cat's meow. Original case filled with lots of goodies. I love it.

Unfortunately, I don't think there has been a book published that is solely dedicated to this Scottish maker. I hunt them out for my library - (2) books on Purdey,Atkin,Grant & Lang,Holland & Holland - you get the idea. I believe if one was out there I'd have purchased it by now.

But keep looking! One never truly knows.........
