This subject may have been talked about before but I would like to know if anyone has dreamed up a bore light for a muzzle loader. I see Midway has one for about 8 bucks that fits down the barrel.

I picked up a bore lite just this weekend made by Mountain State Manugacturing, Williamstown, WV 26187
phone 304-375-2680 or http://www.msmfg.com It is for 40 caliber and up. It was a shoot prize - not sure what the cost was. Hope this helps

If it's .54 cal or bigger you can use a mini mag light. The little key ring size mini mag. It will slide right down.

I use a little light made by Coast. It's about a 1/4 in. in diameter and I can shine and see the breech plug on my .32 Crocket. About $9.00 at most any machine tool place.

Some of the fishing shops around here carry a little light that is to go on a fishing lure. It will drop down a 22 barrel. I have seen them in green and red lights. I have both and they are great. About $4, the battery has something like 10hrs. use time and then it is gone, throw it away. I have had one several years and still haven't wore the battery down.

I prefer Jeff Tanners nice bore lights. Have a look at www.jt-bullet-moulds.co.uk/accessories.html. Usually gets a handful of them when I meet Jeff and Chris. This bore-lights are extremely popular among collector friends in Sweden!!

I believe that I heard that Tanner's lights were from Robin Hewitt's design. I think that I will order from the originator and Forum member.

:rotf: :rotf: I don't do them commercially, but you just won yourself a borelight if you want it :rotf: :rotf:

I use the ultrabright white LED's with a white nylon diffuser to make it bearable. Lights the deepest darkest soot stained pipe and reveals all

Saw a great little trick on this subject last night.Take a 45ACP cartridge And glue a piece of mirror to the base.drop it down the barrel and shine a small flashlight on it.It will look like daylight down your barrel.By the way,I dropped the 45 down a 50cal.
