After having a barrel bored from 50 to 54 how do you mark the barrel ?

After having a barrel bored from 50 to 54 how do you mark the barrel ?

Not required, but I have always put the new information on the bottom flat of the barrel, plus I remove or defarb any old information on the top flats. Makes it easier in the future when all the history on the barrel is forgotten, at least for me.
