So, I bought the Liegi Derringer yesterday...

When the wife saw it, she cooed over how cute it was. Today she asked me to show her how to load her new pistol!

Err, what? Did I miss something? I don't remember giving it to her...

:applause: Welcome to my world. This is exactly what happened when I taught my wife to shoot the unmentionable that was a gift to me for our third anniversary, she immediately claimed it for her own.

I think its a woman thing, (no offense Cynthia). The good news is this event got me another gun for my own to replace it.

My wife just told me that "she found a parts breakdown for the pistol and she was printing it. And can we get it engraved?"

:rotf: :rotf:

Yup, start looking for your next purchase, this one is gone to you..
If you're really nice to hr she might let you shoot it now and then. :haha:

I don't see what the problem is.

All you have to say to your wife is, "I'm surprised you like it. These were the favorite guns of hookers, back in the day.
They usually liked them nickle plated rather than engraved."

Just be sure to duck when she "returns" it to you.

:rotf:

I told my wife what you said. She thinks you're very droll, and wants your physical address so she can show her appreciation in person... :blah:

That is insightful. I had a side by side ethan allen by hoppes. Spent a lot of time on it and then had it nickle plated. Just guess what happened next :cursing: Split with her long ago, haven't seen it since.
