Boyertown PA woodswalk

Anybody going to the Boyertown woodswalk on 2/1? Anybody ever gone before? How is it? Do folks dress in period duds?

Its GREAT ya shoot 30-35 shots. The fellas that run it are super. A good number of guys do dress in period clothing maby about half of them do, F&I War, Revolutionary War, Fur Trapper era , Civil War, Long Hunter. The targets themselves are set up in real life situations with a diabolical twist.
The after the shoot food is good. I always have fun time.

I grabbed a flyer when I was at Dixon's last Sunday. I'm at work so I don't have it handy. IIRC - it's the Boyertown Rod & Gun Club. I'll bring the flyer to work tomorrow and post the details.

I have shot Bullseye at the Boyertown Club and they do a Bang-Up job :rotf:. Serously a 2700 shot there along with the BBQ is a real treat. Good gang---I have met a few of their guys at Camp Perry over the years. Too bad I don't live where my kids live in PA, I am sure I would be a member. :hatsoff:

went to the shoot Sunday.....great bunch of guys and they put on a great shoot. On the downside, my 1980's vintage Dixie lock seems to have given up the ghost. I recently replaced the sear spring that broke and filed new notches in the worn out tumbler and sear. (I ordered replacements from Dixie but none of the parts that Dixie recommended fit....&^%$ waste of $$). Well at the shoot the spark was pretty weak and just got worse despite knapping/changing flints. I felt bad holding up the rest of the guys so I gave up. Even when it would fire, I was so frazzled that I couldn't hit anything. I guess I have to try to find a new frizzen. I'm I was hoping the shoot would relieve some of the stress of getting laid off Friday...instead I find myself unemployed and with a non-working rifle. Aint life grand...
