who made it ??i was there saturday had a really good time . it was the largest event i have participated in . it was pretty awesome to look across the ridge and see nothing but an entire sea of red ..really incredible cant imagine what those poor souls felt....

You lucky dog! I grew up near there, but didn't make it back for the event. I still remember as a kid sitting under the tree where Lafayette supposedly had his wound treated.

John I just gotta ask , yer handle--is it related to your likeing fishing? I'm guessing ya like to fly fish some. I didn't know about the event until to late but would have made a day trip, I only live about 25 miles from there. Been tp plenty of events at Brandywine battlefield n always had a great time. I'm guessing I would have been behind a tree when the shooting started LOL ya got to be crazy to stand in a line 30 yards apart n just shoot at each other until some pompus big bellied clown figures he's lost enough men n leaves the field. those guys were made of steel back then. YMHS Birdman :surrender:

i grew up in Chadds Ford, and remember the event when they did it over by the (brandywine) museum, which is not historically correct, btw. But a coool event. up close and personal.

Been to the Chadds Ford tavern many times, even played the fiddle there years ago. I went to the bicentenial event at the river museum. Those were the days!

Actually, if you travel from the museum towards the Chadds Ford Inn (Tavern?) and go a bit further, then on your left was the actual Battle of the Brandywine, if memory serves. I remember that land was private and fenced, which may be why it was held at the museum.... neat area! full of history..
