How mush brass is too much on "YOUR" choise of muzzleloaders?

Trigger guard and patchbox? ::

More?

Nose cap and thimbles too? :hmm:

More?

Escutcheons and inlays too?

Where do you draw the line?

All mine have the following brass parts:

Curved buttplate
Patchbox
Lock screw washer
Trigger guard
Wedge pin
Wedge pin escutchsons
Nose cap
Ramrod

And I keep them all clean and shiny so I can use them as a mirror in my treestands in case I have to pick my teeth, signal for a rescue helicopter, making trick shots at deer coming up behind me, etc, etc

Escutcheons and inlays too?

Heresy!!! Brass Inlays???
Everyone knows they should be SILVER!!

Of course, I would never put a bunch of inlays on anything I would build.

Nose cap, thimbles, lock plate, trigger guard, and butt plate was all the brass I could stand. Had to have a sliding wood patch box.

I really wanted all iron furniture but after all the crying my smith friend did about how much more work it would be to do iron I conceded!
